The Garden"Kauri Grove" is an amazing park-like private garden that has been developed from scratch around beautiful 50+ yr old Gingkoes, Pin Oaks, Magnolias, 19 Kauri trees and 2 landmark Norfolk Pines planted in 1860. These are now surrounded by vast gardens of Hydrangeas, Roses, Camellias, Dahlias, Day Lilies and many others.
"Kauri Grove" is named after the 19 Kauri trees in the garden. Incorporated into the gardens are 2 water features, 4 beds of Bromeliads and several Pergolas, all overlooking a magnificent view of the Minden, Wairoa River and Kaimai Range. While located within Tauranga city, it is still private and secluded and serenely quiet and peaceful.

The GardenerWe are basically hard working Grandparents, who enjoy sharing our garden and knowledge with other people, and enjoy our grandchildren who live nearby and our beloved cat Felix. I play badminton twice a week for 6 months, enjoy scrap booking at night or knit the most fabulous scarfs to sell for Waipuna Hospice, Eric enjoys his Orchid house and Brass band and Gym. |
