Hurunui Gardens Tour 2017
2017 is the year to support Hurunui.
After one of the biggest earthquakes on record to hit New Zealand the Hurunui garden owners are getting back on their feet.
Marina Shearer says “Sadly one of our gardens will be shut for quite some time, the damage to the historic home was so bad that the owner has had to relocate to Christchurch. Most of us have had serious damage to our properties but we have been working hard to clean up and be ready for a fabulous Spring this year, a 7.8mag quake is not going to destroy us, we are committed to getting back to business as usual.”
There are 7 gardens on offer in 2017 and one of them is new to the open garden event. Hurunui Gardens welcomes “Saddlewood” from Hawarden onboard this year, and looks forward to visitors enjoying their beautiful garden.
Purchase a Spring Pass for 2017. 7 gardens open over 4 days, return as many times as you wish and enjoy the gardens as they change throughout the season.
October 27 (the day after THE FETE, flaxmere garden is closed for Art in a Garden on this day)
