The Gardener

Discover New Zealand's wonderful gardens on one of our small group tours, from renowned gardens of national significance to some hidden gems that you'll never forget. You don't have to be a gardener to appreciate a beautiful garden and the wonderful hospitality of our friends, the gardeners.

Garden Size

Some of the gardens we visit have varied levels and are large. You will enjoy our tours if you have good health and mobility. It’s important for Health & Safety reasons that you can use the steps to get on and off our coach with minimal or no assistance. All our tours require a certain amount of walking and you need to be comfortable walking on uneven ground. We strongly recommend bringing a walking stick or a hiking-style walking pole for extra stability and to help prevent tripping.

Info

  • Accommodation
When you’re travelling, we know the importance of being comfortable each night and we think a little luxury from time to time isn't too bad either. Imagine waking up in the alpine wonderland of Mount Cook National Park, or falling asleep to the sound of the Tasman Sea breaking on the beach in Punakaiki. We’ve handpicked all of the accommodations on our tours, many are places we've been visiting for years and have come to know the owners as friends. Here's a selection of some of our favourite places you'll stay on our Small Group Escapes, these are all places we know well and have hand-picked after decades of experience so rest assured, you're in good hands.
  • Price
Our tours are all fully inclusive, with all transport, meals and activities as outlined in the tour itinerary.
  • Parking
You will relax in comfort on mid-sized, modern, turbo-diesel coaches, the oldest coach was built in 2014. You’ll enjoy comfort on the road with climate control, customised interiors, reclining seats and lap belts.
  • Toilets?
Although there are no toilets on the coach itself, we will be stopping at least every couple of hours.
