The GardenIt has been described as Auckland's best-kept garden secret. Eden Garden boasts the largest and most varied collection of camellias in New Zealand; a large number of vireya rhododendrons, rhododendrons and azaleas, a host of bromeliads, some magnificent hibiscus and a wide collection of New Zealand native plants, making this an important and interesting garden for the plants alone. The GardenerIf you have gardening knowledge and experience and would like to join our gardening volunteer team on Friday mornings, we'd love to welcome you.
We start work at 9:30 and stop for a cup of tea and a chat at 10:30, and the rest of the time work singly, or in teams, on a variety of seasonal tasks such as deadheading, grooming, and weeding. It's an enjoyable and rewarding morning out and you'll meet a group of very pleasant, like-minded people.
We also welcome corporate volunteer groups who can spend a day working in the garden.
Please call 09 638 8395 or email us for an application form. We look forward to seeing you.
